New York band Spotlights graces YouTube with a very heavy and (literally) dark performance for our latest EarthQuaker Session. With able assistance from the Astral Destiny, Afterneath, Tone Job and a few other EQD birthed treats, the power trio of Sarah Quintero, Mario Quintero and Chris Enriquez run through all IV parts of their dynamic 2020 EP “We Are All Atomic” for its first live performance ever. Ambient, echo-drenched passages melt into pulse-altering rumbling power chords, fuzz bass, and big beats. There’s feedback, screaming, low-end rumble, kick-ass riffage, and an empty indie record store in pandemic-era Pittsburgh. What more do you need?
